Electrical Contractor Licensing in Arkansas

Electrical Contractors in the State of Arkansas are required to hold a license if they intend to perform, bid or advertise electrical work within the state.  Licenses are issued by the Arkansas Department of Labor’s Board of Electrical Examiners.

The Board creates the laws and sets the standards for all electrical work performed within the state.  As part of the licensing process, contractors are required to prove that they meet the Board’s requirements for education/training and work experience, in addition to (more…)

Reciprocal General Contractor Licensing in Arkansas

The State of Arkansas holds reciprocal agreements for General Contractors licensed in the following states:

  • Alabama
  • Tennessee
  • Mississippi
  • Louisiana

Contractors who hold a license in one of the above states may easily obtain a license to work on construction projects in Arkansas.

Reciprocal License Classifications in Arkansas

A license is needed in the State of Arkansas when the cost of the project is $2,000 or more, including labor and materials.  Licenses are issued by the Arkansas Contractor’s Licensing Board.
