Electrical Contractor Licensing in Florida
In order to perform electrical or alarm-related work in the State of Florida, contractors must obtain a license from the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. Licenses are issued by the Department’s Electrical Contractor Licensing Board. The Board meets regularly to determine who is eligible to hold a license.

Reciprocal General Contractor Licensing in Florida
The State of Florida does not hold reciprocal licensing agreements with other states. To work on a construction project for profit in the State of Florida, General Contractors must obtain a Division 1 Registered or Certified License through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).
