Electrical Contractor Licensing in Oklahoma

Electrical Contractors in the State of Oklahoma are required to hold a license in order to engage in, offer to perform or advertise electrical work.  Licenses are issued by the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board.

As part of the licensing process, contractors are required to meet a number of years of work experience and/or education, and pass a qualifying exam.

Electrical Contractor Licensing in Oregon

Electrical Contractors in the State of Oregon are required to hold a license from the Department of Consumer & Business Services’ Building Codes Division (BCD).  The BCD issues licenses to both individuals and businesses working on electrical projects within the state.

As part of the licensing process, contractors are required to complete and submit an application, proving that they meet the Division’s requirement for work experience and/or training.  Additionally, contractors are required to take and pass a qualifying examination.

Electrical Contractors in the Commonwealth of Kentucky are required to hold a license before performing work on electrical projects.  Licenses are issued by the Electrical Division of the Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction.  The Electrical Division protects the safety and well-being of the public in Kentucky by ensuring that all electrical work is provided by licensed, qualified individuals and businesses.

Electrical Contractors in the State of Alabama are required to obtain a license from the Alabama Electrical Contractors Board.  State law stipulates that anyone performing electrical work must hold a license.  As part of the licensing process, contractors are required to prove that they have the required work experience to perform electrical work, and pass a qualifying exam.

Electrical Contractor Licensing in Colorado

Electrical Contractors in the State of Colorado are required to hold a license or registration from the Department of Regulatory Agencies.  Licenses are issued by the Department’s Electrical Board.  Licensing and registration is part of Colorado’s Mandatory Practice Act, which states that no person or business entity may perform electrical work within the state without a license.

As part of the licensing process, contractors are required to prove a number of years of work experience and pass a qualifying examination.  Contractors who register with the Board must choose a responsible party to oversee all work performed by their business entity.
